Very Useful, I use this application frequently

This is a very stable and useful application. It does a great job of probing throughout my network and finds the IP addresses and the MAC addresses of every device. One of the coolest features is called a "whitelist". The Whitelist is where I can keep my own list of known, approved devices. Then, the next time I do a network probe I will see all of my whitelisted devices lightly greyed out. New devices will show up as BOLD. This feature makes it really easy to find new devices that have found their way onto the network.

One of my favorite features is how the application shows an icon for each operating system type. I can see Mac OS machines and Windows OS machines because they have unique icons. When I travel with my laptop and I am in a hotel or an airport lounge I find it interesting to probe the local network to see how many devices are right next to me.

This application reminds us how important it is to keep our firewalls active and not to trust a network.
